Millersville Borough is a college town (Millersville University) located within 5 miles of Lancaster City with a residential population of 7,903.
The Borough functions under PA Borough Code with a Mayor and 7 Council positions.
The Borough employs 32FT and 8PTpersons with major services including Administration, Police, Code Enforcement and Public Works.
The General Operating budget is approx.
5 million dollars.
Requirements:
Applicants will have a bachelors degree in public administration, management, finance or a related field and/or a relevant combination of experience and education.
A 5-year minimum of municipal experience is expected.
The ideal candidate will also have:
Strong leadership skills Demonstrate skills in municipal finance, budgeting, and administration People management / human resources Planning / land-use / zoning Solid waste / Stormwater management Comprehensive planning Grant administration Excellent verbal and written communication skills Computer / technology proficiency Experience with collective bargaining Innovative thinking and problem-solving Must maintain a solid and cordial working relationship with elected and appointed Borough officials, employees, and the general public.
Ability to be bonded.
